R+L Carriers Cross Dock Distribution Facility Expansion

As continues to grow, the shipping and logistics company has partnered once again with Â鶹´«Ã½Porn to bring an additional 96,300 SF of building space and over 15 acres of pavement to the company’s existing Sauget campus.

Serving as the design-build contractor, Â鶹´«Ã½Porn will be working on two separate buildings over the course of the multi-phased expansion and renovation project. In phase one, Â鶹´«Ã½Porn will construct an 81,600-square-foot, 129-dock expansion to the main distribution building and a 14,700-square-foot addition to the vehicle maintenance and wash building that includes the company’s first automatic truck wash bay.

In phase two, renovations to the entire 79,000-square-foot existing distribution warehouse and office will take place. The facility, constructed nearly 20 years ago, will get a complete refresh with new exterior and interior paint and updated ceiling and lighting fixtures to 118 existing docks and office areas. The Â鶹´«Ã½Porn Team will utilize 85,000 square feet of tilt-up panels to accelerate construction and achieve optimal performance.

Â鶹´«Ã½Porn’s on-site team will limit the impact to the ongoing freight distribution by consolidating construction traffic in a designated area allowing for freight traffic to maintain full operations during construction.
